About Us
SensoryKidz, LLC was started by Mrs. Amani Helvy (formerly Stacy Gilbert) in 2017. Mrs. Amani graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1996 with her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. While residing in California, Mrs. Amani participated in a multitude of sensory integration classes/workshops along with providing school-based OT in the following school districts: Los Angeles Unified School District, Simi Valley Unified School District and Los Virgenes Unified School District. Mrs. Amani has also provided treatment to medically fragile kidz in their homes. Ms. Amani’s personal experience of caring for her special needs young adult son has added immense value to her personally and professionally and shapes the way she delivers therapy today.
What We Do
SensoryKidz, LLC (currently serving Metro Atlanta with concentration on DeKalb & Clayton Counties) provides Occupational & Speech Therapy services to individuals from birth to 21 years old in our clinics using a sensory integration model. Sensory Integration is an essential part to helping many kidz reach their full potential. You can’t expect a child to engage in the learning process if they have unmet sensory needs.
